About Us

The Indian Veterans Corp (IVC) was conceptualized as a commercial venture in October 2020 but could not be  launched due to lack of  volunteers to lead various verticals, ie.,  Placement, Wedding, Healthcare and eSeva.   223 tri service veterans had applied and committed to contribute Rs 18.7 Lakhs towards equity.   An email has gone out to all who stepped ahead and your desire to participate has been  well appreciated.

The new Avatar of the IVC  was precipitated by a persistent need to close the gaps between entitled services provided by the ECHS and the issues faced by ECHS beneficiaries to compulsorily but avoidably visit the polyclinic just to collect continued medicines.  This could be greatly ameliorated if medicines were issued for 90 days.   Further,  once SeHAT OPD (tele-medicine), a veteran will only reduce one Q, ie., Doctor Queue.    The veterans still has to come to the PC to collect their medicine and go through 3 to 5 Qs, not to speak of the agony of an avoidable travel to the ECHS Polyclinic.  Therefore, our Helpdesk will do this collection of medicines as well and home deliver to the beneficiary as authorized by Q&A 86 of Central Org ECHS FAQ.

The establishment of a new Integrated Veterans Complex under the HQ K&K Sub Area has provided the opportunity and much needed base (on Lease and License to DEO)  to start operations as an Enhanced Helpdesk as a unit of a veterans cooperative society under formation.  Since cooperatives are a State subject, and as we evolve in all States & UTs in India, the advantages of institutionalized implementation of best practices will come to fore for veterans, by veterans.

More on this is available for your reading in the Cooperative page.
